Voice engines

The engine is the model that listens and talks on the call. Engines change fast, so Kata treats them as part of a variant: they compete.

The caller introduces itself with the campaign's agent_name (default Alex). Set the engine of a campaign and its live variants, or of one variant, with set_call_engine.

Making engines compete

Keep live variants on both engines. While an engine has no live variant, the evolve step adds the best script on that engine, so both always get tested on the same leads.

One session per call

Each call opens exactly one engine session with the variant's opener and script, the lead's data, brief.md and company.md. The agent can end the call itself. The transcript comes back when the call ends, then the outcome is tagged.
