Phone numbers
Calls go out from your numbers. In Kata Send a mailbox has a daily cap and a health score; in Kata Call a number does.
Adding numbers
add_numbers with one number or a list, each with an optional label and daily cap. With real telephony (Twilio) the number must already be in the Twilio account: Kata never buys numbers. See them with list_numbers.
Daily caps
Each number places up to its daily cap of calls (50 by default), and one call at a time. The planner gives each free number one call per minute and prefers a number from the lead's country. More leads per day means more numbers, not a higher cap.
Answer rate
Kata watches each number's last 50 calls (from 20 calls on). A number that stops getting answers is probably labeled as spam by carriers:
| Answer rate | What Kata does |
|---|---|
| Under 15% | Halves the number's daily cap, at most once a day. |
| Under 5% on 30 calls or more | Pauses the number. Its calls move to the other numbers. |
Status
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
active | Places calls, under its daily cap. |
paused | No calls. Paused by you or by Kata. |
retired | Out of use. |
Change it with set_number. Use a number from the country you call and a real business behind it; never spoof a caller ID.
